A Christmas Miracle: when fact meets fiction

Sometimes the stars align! Because of the long timelines in the publishing industry, I’m currently working on books that won’t land in readers’ hands (or on their e-readers!) until late 2026 or 2027. Case in point, I'm dreaming of an F1 Christmas - a book to be released in time for the holidays in 2026. The story starts during the last weekend of the Formula 1 season in Abu Dhabi, at the Yas Marina Circuit… and that race is happening right now at the time I’m writing this! Not only am I excited because this concurrence makes it easier to write the vibe, but I’m also obsessing because the current F1 season is riding on the results of the final race in Abu Dhabi. I mean, all I want for Christmas is a down-to-the-wire Formula 1 Championship finish, right?!

So… Papaya fans: will it be Lando or Oscar? Or is Max going to continue his unprecedented come-from-behind and snatch the Championship?!! Stay tuned!

And if the real-life Formula 1 drama is too much to handle, wait until next year when you’ll have a warm and wonderful Harlequin F1 Christmas romance featuring a hot Italian driver and a jaded New Yorker looking to rediscover the meaning of Christmas!

Update: Congrats to Lando!
