Bingo and Books

I’ve never met a themed event I didn’t love. Why should a book launch be any different?

Partnering with Passionate Pages – Pittsburgh’s very own AMAZING Romance Bookstore – I had the book launch that every author dreams of! A receptive crowd, a cookie table (naturally, as it features so significantly in the book “Bridesmaid’s Fast-track Fling”), speaking, reading, signing… and a game of Cringe Word Bingo. Huh?

Cringe Word Bingo is a game of my own devising that places all those cringy romance terms on a bingo card in place of the usual numbers. And full confession – when perusing the bingo words, one might discover that my ick is not yours! To each their own. But we can’t deny that everybody has words that make them shudder.  And as an author, I *know* I am guilty of writing something that falls in that category. It’s all good. And the bingo game was hilarious. If you think reading certain words is cringe, try saying them aloud.

However, having hosted one night of Cringe Word Bingo, I’m ready for more. If you are a book club, bachelorette party, or other willing gathering in the Pittsburgh area… I’m happy to come and talk books and bingo!

Fun fact – in one upcoming, as-yet-unnamed book, there is a sassy Corgi named Bingo. Clearly, it’s a theme.
